I hate the word “cheat meal.” Because it’s like something is wrong with that food. Now don’t get me wrong they’re a tons of food that are not the best choice when it comes to nutritional value and supporting your goals. But every food has their place in the right amounts. Yes I said it. But the key is IN THE RIGHT AMOUNTS.
If you know me I eat Chick-fil-A every, yes every, Friday for dinner. It is something I look forward to each week and brings me so much joy. PS it’s not only the food but the fabulous employees I get to see too.
Now you might be thinking CFA is better than most fast food but still not great. And guess what you are right. But I plan my food for the rest of the week so I can then enjoy this meal with all its glory. Most importantly it is not a cheat. I’m not cheating on my diet. It’s planned into my diet. I make choices during the week that allow me to have this meal guilt free and full of joy.
So find what that is for you. Figure out how you can plan it into your weekly meal planning so you can still stay on track but not be miserable because you think something is “bad.” It’s all about balance.
Be obsessed about it. It’s ok I support it. I mean you don’t get to Red Status at CFA if you aren’t committed. Hahaha.
