If you know me then you know I’m in bed by 9pm. Yes, I said 9pm. I’m a baby grandma y’all and I’m proud of it. I don’t know how y’all stay up so late. But I am up around 5:15am each morning. Yea, before the rooster crows.
During the ViD I started really prioritizing my sleep. Trying to make sure I get around eight hours of sleep each night. Yes, that means each and everyday. Not just here or there but everyday.
Why?
I could tell my lack of sleep was not only effecting my work (like the job), my actual workouts, how I was eating and hydrating, how I was recovering from workouts, the level of energy I had, and I was getting more headaches.
Personally since I’ve been strict with my wind down time and actual bedtime I can tell I’ve crushed my workouts more, I’ve been more productive at work, I eat better and drink all the water, my body is kicking ass recovering from my workouts, I have more energy, and if I get a headache now it’s weather related or if I didn’t get enough electrolytes.
Getting my eight hour every night has been a game changer. I’ll never turn back.
So don’t ask me to go out late. I’m going to say no. I’m living the best baby grandma life y’all!!!
