Three Strategies For Staying On Track

You get all excited when you start a new program. But guess what that excitement normally fades way before you get through week two. So what’s a girl do to stay on track and get after her goals this time.

Let me give you my top three strategies for staying on track. These can be used anytime of the year and for any goal, not just fitness related.

Plan/Schedule Your Workouts
You have to make your workouts a priority for you. If you don’t they probably won’t happen. I like to plan my month out a week before it starts with what I’m doing each day. Then I schedule what time I’ll get the workouts in for the coming week on Sundays. Block the time to refill your cup!

Have an Accountability Buddy
Need that extra kick in the ass to make sure you get your workout done. Then find an accountability buddy that will either check-in with you to see how things are going and be that positive reinforcement or even better will do the workouts with you! Having a person to have to be accountable to gives you more reasons to say yes to your workout.

Reward Yourself for Consistency
You need to celebrate all three hard work you are putting in. It can’t be all work and no play. So set a goal for yourself for the week and/or month and when you accomplish it rewards yourself. Maybe it’s a new workout outfit, maybe it’s a yummy brownie, maybe it a relaxing massage. Let it be something that will help you check off the workouts to earn your reward.
