Strength training is about more then getting physically fit, building muscle, losing fat, etc. It is also about improving your mental health.
You might be wondering how strength training helps your mental health. Well I will share a quote from Legally Blonde that I think sums it up perfectly.
“Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husband, they just don’t.” – Elle Woods
But in all reality strength training has many fabulous benefits for your mental health.
– Improves Your Mood (aka Endorphins)
– Strengths Your Mind-Body Connection
– Lowers Your Stress and Anxiety
– Boosts Your Brain Health
– Improves Your Relationship with Your Body
So go pump that muscle for your mind, body and spirit. You’ll be happy you did!
Drop a 🙌🏼 if you are prioritizing your mental health in 2023!
Note: it’s important to speak to a mental health professional if you experience symptoms of depression or any other mental health issues.
