Five Healthy Habits for 2023

Let’s kick 2023 off right with FIVE fabulous healthy habits that will set you up to feel fabulous this year. The great news these are ones that will help you win in all aspects of life. Plus, they are sustainable lifestyle habits.

Strength Train Three Times a Week
Strength training is the BEST type of workout you can do for living a strong healthy life. Great news you only need 20-30 minutes per session.
PS: you don’t need to be crazy like me and do an hour long burn.

Drink the Stupid Water
You need water. You need to stay hydrated. Staying properly hydrated helps in all aspects of life. So get that bottle and start drinking. Minimum should be 90-95 oz each day.
PS: don’t forget your electrolytes.

Focus on Daily Protein
Protein is the building blocks of life. We need protein to function and recover. There are so many great options to chose from. You should aim for optimal intake which is 0.80 – 1.0 grams per pound of body weight.
Example: 150 pounds needs 120-150 grams each day.

Get Your Beauty Sleep
You want to function properly and live a healthy life. Well then you need to prioritize your sleep. There is no badge for grinding hard and not getting the rest your body needs. Adults need 7-9 hours a sleep a night.
PS: don’t forget about catnaps.

Find Joy Daily
We are such a rushed world now we forget to slow down and take in everything around us. We need to find the little moments of joy each day and embrace them. Don’t let them slip by. Make a life well lived with joy.
Example: cats purr, a colorful sunset, ‘hello’ from a stranger
