Why I’ll Never Stop Strength Training

I’ve had people ask…
– Why do you get up so early?
– Why do you strength training each morning?
– Why don’t you take a break?
– Why do you keep preaching we all should be strength training?
– What makes you crazy enough to do it day after day?
– Are you even human???

First things first, strength training is my happy place. It helps me start the day on the right foot, gets my blood flowing, my heart pumping, the muscles burning, the body sweating, the mind thinking, and those endorphins popping.

It is the way I start my day off right. It sets up everything else that will come for the rest of the day. It gets mind right and focused.

It is also a very strong habit that I created. I literally cannot not do my work. There have been days I’m be dead tired and wanted to stay in bed. I might have even laid there for another 10 minutes but then my brain starts talking to me…
– we don’t quite
– we don’t skip days
– there ain’t nothing wrong with you
– get your ass out of bed and into that workout room

And every time I feel more alive after I complete the workout. It gives me energy. Plus, I’ve never been upset about completing a workout but I know I’d kick myself in the ass all day long if I didn’t do it.

Which leads to consistency. I am consistent with my strength training. It is a top priority for me. I schedule this time for me and I don’t let anything get in the way of this me time.

So no sir I’ll never stop strength training and I’ll never stop preaching why you should be doing it too.
