Strength and Cardio – Have Them Both!

Guess what? I love both. You can love both too and you should!

But I am going to say something that’s not going to be popular.

You can just do strength training but you can’t just run (do cardio). Ok I mean you can and many do but it’s not wise…

Did you know?

Cardio burns more calories during the actual workout and normally burns more fat. However, strength training helps build muscle and allows you to burn more calories all day long!
WIN FOR STRENGTH TRAINING

Strength training build muscle, stated above. But why is that important? Because when you build lean muscle mass you have a higher metabolic rate. Which leads to a faster metabolism.
SCIENCE SUPPORTS STRENGTH TRAINING

According to a study at the University of Alabama, women who just lifted weights compared to those than just did cardio showed greater belly fat loss. This back the saying you hear about cardio only people as being “skinny fat.”
RESEARCH SUPPORTS STRENGTH TRAINING

So what should you do? Both. But if you had to pick only one then it’s strength training all day!

Overall strength training is better for fat loss and building lean muscle. However, cardio will help with weight loss, improving heart health, and helping uncover the muscles you are building.

Drop a 🌟 if you’re committed to including strength training in your weekly fitness routine.
