10 Reasons to Strength Train

There are many fabulous reasons to have a good strength training routine. But did you know that inactive adults can experience 3% – 8% loss of muscle mass each decade according to NASM. That alone should get you lifting. And good news you can see changes with as little as 2-3 30-minute sessions a week.

Health Benefits:
– Can increase your metabolism
– Increase lean muscle
– Reduces body fat
– Increase bone density
– Endorphins
– Improves ability to do everyday tasks
– Alleviates stress and anxiety
– Enhances cognitive function
– Better sleep
– Lowers risk of cardiovascular disease

And stop right there sis if you are about to say… “strength training and lifting weights will make me bulky and I’ll look like a man.” This is false news. This will not happen to you. I’m sure some weak man started this rumor since he was intimidated by strong females. What actually happens when we build muscle is we lean out. How? Because when you build muscle you are decreasing fat mass and in return you can see muscle definition.
