You are ready to hit the trail but you are asking “what should be in my backpack?” There are so many things you could put into all the pockets but let’s not weight yourself down. We will however be prepared because preparation is key!
In Part One of “what’s in my backpack?” we are going to talk about Emergency and Safety Supplies. 🆘⛑
In My Backpack:
– First Aid Kit + some additional add ons
– LifeStraw Personal Water Filter
– Emergency Thermal Blanket
– Disposable Rain Poncho
– Portable Charger for Phone
– Headlamp (with extra batteries)
– Multi-Purpose Utility Tool
– Whistle
– Fire Starter
– Compass
– Duct Tape
– Trowel
– Outdoor Wipes
The hope is that you will never need to use these items or at least most of them, I mean when nature calls then you got to go. Lol. But you will be ready in case something does happen.
Remember, when you are out on the trail it is your responsibility to be prepared and to get yourself home. This will also allow you to be a great steward of the trails and potentially help others in a time a need. Just make sure you still have what you need. Don’t put yourself in a pickle.
🚨 What emergency or safety item in your backpack makes you feel most prepared on the trail? What item do you want to add to your backpack?
🥾 See you on the trail!
