I’ll keep sounding like a broken record until the day I die. Everyone, yes everyone needs to strength train. This is not about losing weight or looking better. This is about living a strong active life. Your bones and muscle mass decreases as you age so you need strength training to continue to live a mobile functional life.
But if you are active and out hitting the trails walking, hiking or running then strength training become even more important. Think about it you are on your feet for hours and hours and you are carrying a back with all your goodies. 🥾🎒
So what do you need?
– A powerful lower body
– A stable core
– A able upper body
So yes, basically a strong overall body. Even when you might think hiking / trail running is mostly legs. Oh but it isn’t sis! 💪🏼
Best part sis is that only need 2-3 sessions per week. With as little as 20 minutes per session if we get really focused to what exactly you need vs. upwards of 45 minutes per session for general direction.
🏋🏼♀️ Are you currently doing a strength training program? If yes, what’s your favorite part. If no, what’s stopping you?
